EZRA

Before you read this blog watch this http://youtu.be/Ow0lr63y4Mw

HOW ARE YOU DOING? Are you the blog writer who really has not read each day and has missed a lot of days, but instead just reads your day and then writes the blog? (I know I have done that). Are you the blog writer who doesn't think anyone besides other blog writers are reading them so why bother, (I can feel that way) If you have missed a few days, weeks or months, or have fallen way behind I have two words for you ("STOP IT") If you were in church last week and saw the fun video clip. I put the link at the beginning for you to watch.

We get busy and overwhelmed. We feel we need to write a huge blogs because we don't want to miss anything, or we see everyone else writing these incredible blogs and feel we have to follow suit! "STOP IT!" Everyone is different that's why Pastor asks different people to write so there will be so many different styles to read. I'm a simple guy like to get crazy, bring in media, use pictures, music lyrics etc..

Today I'm writing my blog in Twitter format just to be different. The toughest thing I find about twitter is you must summarize everything. A challenge for me since not only do I talk a lot, but I type a lot too. I know "STOP IT!"

EZRA1: Cyrus said, "Let the LORD's people go up to Jerusalem and rebuild the temple." He gave the articles from the temple to Sheshbazzar.

EZRA2: The exiles returned to Judah with Zerubbabel. A total of 42,360 people returned. The heads of families gave offerings for the temple.

EZRA3: The Israelites made regular offerings. When the builders laid the foundation of the temple, the Levites sang praise to the LORD.

EZRA4: Enemies hindered the work in Judah. Rehum wrote to Artaxerxes: "Jerusalem is a rebellious city."

EZRA5: Zerubbabel began to build the temple.

Tattenai wrote to Darius: "The elders say that Cyrus

issued a decree to rebuild this temple."

If you write a blog I challenge you to start reading from today on.

If you're a blog reader even on facebook you don't have to write a response just by liking the blog entry helps us to see they are being read and not written in vain. Even an email saying "hey I loved that song", or "good thought"

As blog writers we should not be expecting response.

As bible and blog readers we should not feeling reading God's word is such a huge boring task! Please don't forget this one huge aspect of this task. SATAN does not want us to read through God's word! Our own sin does not want to read through God's word!

Our own busyness and at times laziness does not want us to read through God's word. Because when we read through God's word lives are changed, hearts are restored, sin loses it's grip and GOD is glorified.

So Go pick up God's word today and start fresh.
